Reviews reflect a split in sentiment. Despite praise for the location, cleanliness, and generous breakfast, guests frequently criticize the property's mismanagement, severe understaffing, and noisy HVAC units that disrupt sleep.
The bedding was terrible. The bed was small. It wasn't even a queen. More like a full size bed. The room wasn't cleaned. We didn't have toilet paper. The drain was clogged in the tub. Serv
This property is severely mismanaged. A simple checkout turned into a 20+ minute wait between 4:00–6:00 AM because management chose to leave the hotel dangerously understaffed. Jiyah was the only employee available and was simultaneously running the front desk and setting up breakfast. He was professional, honest, and clearly doing his best in an impossible situation. This delay was 100% not his fault. The failure here is leadership. Expecting one employee to cover multiple departments during peak guest movement hours is not efficiency—it’s negligence. No manager on site, no backup, no urgency. If management can’t handle something as basic as checkout, it raises serious concerns about every other aspect of this hotel. This location is an embarrassment to the Hampton Inn brand. Jiyah deserves better. Guests deserve better. Management failed both.
Breakfast was great, awesome when they had the southwest egg omelets with cheese, green and Red peppers Jahiah and the rest of the staff were all awesome. I felt safe and at home especially on Christmas eve and day. Stay here if you get the chance. Fitness center had up to date equipment. It is open 24/7.
Wonderful Location! Close to the mall and various stores. Walking distance but they do offer a shuttle service if needed. Complimentary breakfast is good and they also popular sell snacks & drinks. The gym is great! The room is great & CLEAN. I love how they fold the towels for you. I can tell this location pays attention to details which I love. Friendly staff!! 10/10 recommend.
Room- AC/Heat unit- Good news: the unit cools or heats the room very quickly. Bad news: it sounds like a city bus driving through the room at just the moment you might doze off. Closet - Good news: there is space to hang clothes. Bad news: the safe is smack in the middle at a height where nothing of length can hang. Only shirts, jackets, etc. will be accommodated. No chance you’re hanging a dress without getting wrinkles or creases. Bathroom - Good news: there is one. Bad news: there is no where to put anything. Counter barely fits the sink, only the back of the toilet (yuck) is clear. Travelers travel with stuff. Women travelers travel with more stuff. Lighting- Good news: you’ll look fabulous in the dark. Bad news: Even flipping on all 5 lights, it’s still dreary. Hotel - Good news: it’s well maintained. Bad news: I literally encountered not one human. It was sort of like being in my own zombie movie.
We are a band from LA that was very recently on tour and stayed at the Hampton Inn Seattle/Southcenter after our last gig in Sacramento. First off, we very much appreciated the easy and accessible parking, as well as having plenty of space in the lot. We felt completely safe about leaving the van overnight. The front desk staff were very welcoming and made check-in extremely easy, even though we rolled in late after a full day of travel. The rooms were spotless, bathrooms clean and stocked, and the beds were comfortable! We’ll definitely be staying here again when we hit the Seattle area for future gigs. We stayed here while we vacationed in Seattle, because it was a lot less expensive than staying downtown. It's minutes from the 1 Train, and the hotel offers a complimentary shuttle to and from the station, which took us conveniently to downtown in minutes. The room was great - comfortable bedding and very clean. The only ding was that the 2-Queen room is a bit cramped and we didn't have comfortable seating in the room. The breakfast was good, hot and varied, with plenty of protein and potatoes. Last but NOT LEAST is the front desk service. Most of the time we saw Denea, and she was awesome!!!! She always had a smile and a pleasant demeanor, and we felt more like we were a welcomed guest than just someone who was letting a room. She took good care of us and met every need we had. If there was one thing that made our trip fabulous, it was Denea! Thank you!
Location is good, close to airport. Room was clean. Pillows were awful though, had a horrible first sleep as they were completely flat. Asked for new pillows and recieved marginally better ones. Oddly no fan in the bathroom, which isn't good. The free breakfast ends at 9am... This is crazy, it should be at least 10. Gives the vibe they really don't want people eating there by ending super early, to what? Save money? Other than that it was just okay. If you get a good price it's probably worth considering if you need that location, but I'm sure there are better options if you don't.
An older hotel with renovations layered on top. I thought this must have been a different hotel when it was originally constructed because the rooms are much smaller (but sufficient) than every other Hampton Inn I've stayed in but I checked the city records from 1990 and it was originally built then as a Hampton Inn. I guess they just used different floorplans and style than other Hampton Inn in other parts of the state. The 2017 remodel makes the hotel fairly nice but the relics of low ceilings etc make it feel dated. I think a few structural changes could have helped a lot but it's fine and I'm sure it was a big improvement. The bed was fine but not as comfortable as at most other Hampton Inns. Nonetheless, this hotel is cheaper than the others in the area and while I now understand why, it still was a good place to stay and a good value. I will stay again in the future as long as the price remains a good value.
Nice breakfast of eggs, sausage and potatoes. If you don't want a hearty breakfast, they also have oatmeal, cereal etc. Room was nice. We got upgraded to a king, which was very nice of the hotel staff. Great value...would stay here again. One note is that the water at breakfast out of the juice machine definitely wasn't filtered and tasted of chlorine (yuck).
