The La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Seattle Sea-Tac Airport is currently undergoing significant renovations, leading to mixed guest experiences. While some appreciate the clean and newly renovated rooms and friendly staff, ongoing construction and related issues like inconsistent temperatures, dust, and operational problems with amenities (showers, TVs) are frequently reported. The hotel’s location near the airport and surrounding restaurants is a positive, but the overall experience is heavily impacted by the renovations.
The room is decent. The service/checkin desk is not always "manned". The room was comfortable however the air conditioner/heating was extremely loud. Constantly had to get up and turn on and off due to the noise to get a decent sleep. If you pay less than $100 and all you want is a bed to sleep in, this is for you. The lobby was decent and they had a large eating area. Customer service was pleasant and assisted with the noisy heater but it still made a lot of noise. While the number of channels were limited it was a good choice.
I stayed here for a few weeks while in town for work and ended up extending my stay a couple of times. The front desk staff was always friendly and helpful, which made a long work trip much easier. The rooms were clean and comfortable, there’s plenty to do in the surrounding area, and the hotel is conveniently close to the airport. Overall, a great place to stay—especially for extended work trips
Was under construction but in great condition. Stayed one night. Was close to the airport (walking distance with luggage). Rooms were great, renovated. Bathroom was awesome. Front desk was great. Free breakfast, waffle bar and pastries. Good tv options and free wifi. Restaurants are close: dennys, subway, Jack in the Box and Taco Bell. Several other fancy restaurants nearby. Free shuttle to and from airport. Overall great experience, had 2 adults and 2 kids.
Stayed two nights checked in on 01/13 and checked out on 01/15. The stay was okay. The hotel has been on construction for a very very long time so I’m suprised it’s not up on site or given a notice to other people who are planning to book a room there. Hallway carpets should’ve been at least the first thing to be changed besides all the other remodels it comes with a stench. The beds are alright it just feels like in the middle there’s a dent. The first night I realized I was coming down with something but didn’t think too much of it- second night I started having a dry throat/cough and realized it was due to the dust in the room also the heater/AC!! It feels like it blows out dust as well and is very bipolar on switching on and off. After my stay my cough got worse and then comes green mucus, headache, itchy throat! I go to the hospital and they say it’s bronchitis.
We stayed at the SeaTac LaQuinta mid December. We generally enjoy LaQuinta Inns, however, this LaQuinta was undergoing remodeling at the time of our stay. In our 1st room the TV wasn't operational so we were moved 2 doors down. We got partially unpacked and ready for a shower but the shower was not functional. We reached out to the front desk for help. We were on the 4th floor and we were informed that none of the bathroom showers on the 4th floor were functional. We weren't sure why we were assigned a room on the 4th floor when all the bathroom showers were dysfunctional? Hopefully when the remodeling is completed all will be back to normal. We'll try the LaQuinta at SeaTac in the future as we've enjoyed their services in the past.
It was night and upon arrival we were not sure if we were at the right place plus appears to be going through renovations. It would have been nice if the notified because I would have stayed else where. The room is spacious and its not a bad location but you can tell why there going through a renovation the room smells funky. If you need to stay I wouldn't pay more than 100 bucks at the moment its barebones its a notch above a motel. Also when arrived we asked if the place was open and the front desk looked at us like we were crazy and didn't acknowledge the construction what so ever she clearly was annoyed by us and the comment which I understand if she heard it all day but come on its your job.
I read the reviews but decided to stay at the hotel because it is a La Quinta. Is an older hotel undergoing remodeling. Rooms were clean and quiet. Wall AC worked but had wide swings in temperature between turning on and off. Bed was clean but had a dip in the middle such that you rolled to meet each other in the middle of the bed. Shower was absolutely terrific! Great water pressure and an infinite supply of hot water. Breakfast was less than I usually anticipate at a La Quinta (I passed). Staff was kind and helpful. Lots of good restaurants within easy walking distance. Didn't want to use it but the pool was closed and in need of refurbishment. Could not see out of rooms as the building was wrapped for replastering. The hotel could not email my receipt so I got a printed copy. It was easy to get to the 5 freeway, the 509, and SeaTac rental car return. Overall stay was OK.
This was the worst stay I have had at a hotel in a very long time. I believe we were given a newly remodeled room. However, the door handle at the entrance was broken and loose. The bed felt like it had collapsed or frame was constructed incorrectly new thermostat would not hold a constant temp and blasted either full heat or full air con alternatingly. The bathroom had several poorly done patch jobs, including a electrical socket not in its housing and what was either water damage or a leak in the shower that someone attempted to paint over but had already started leaking through again. Also, no toilet paper holder, just a roll on the floor. Most of the rest of the issues were more a product of the hotel's location and locals that were looking to cause problems.
I recently stayed at this La Quinta, and while the rooms seemed clean, the overall experience left much to be desired. The building is clearly old, and it shows—worn carpet, faded paint in the hallways, and a first-floor lounge and check-in area that are in need of serious updates. In my room, the heating system was frustrating. I’d turn up the heat, but after a while, the thermostat would reset to its original setting, making the room uncomfortably cold again. The noise level was another issue. While I expected some airplane noise, the sound of traffic from the road was much more disruptive. To top it off, someone in our group found a bug in their room and reported it to the front desk. That was concerning. Overall, this was the worst La Quinta I’ve stayed at, and I wouldn’t recommend it.
For the motel just to be rated two stars, it's a whole lot better than that. Rooms is clean. Nice! The breakfast was a continental bag breakfast because they're working on their breakfast area. We will stay there again. The courtesy car from the you couldn't answer anything better.
